“How tragic it would be to be so busy that we forget to dance, breathe, and listen to the music while it's still playing.”
There are seasons in life when everything is so tenderly beautiful, we forget they’re fleeting — until they’re gone. The way the sunlight hits your kitchen floor, the warm grass under your feet, the sound of laughter spilling from open windows. These are the moments we’re meant to live inside of. This week’s letter is a gentle reminder: don’t wait to dance, don’t miss the music, don’t postpone joy.
Live Fully in the Season You’re In
One of the kindest things we can do for ourselves is participate in our own lives. So often we wait for the perfect moment, the right outfit, the clean kitchen, the calmer season. But what if this is the season that matters most — not because it’s perfect, but because it’s happening now? Living slowly is not about doing less; it’s about doing it with your whole heart. This summer, may we not just witness the beauty around us, but let it touch us — in the way we laugh, move, eat, gather, and savor.

Talk about the “dance while the music plays” energy — she learns to slow down, taste, listen, fall in love with being alive again.

An Oldies Mix for Your Soul!
Summer is a season of aliveness. It invites us outside, into color, into celebration. The fruit is juicier. The nights are longer. Our bodies crave movement, salt, sun, and sweetness. Let yourself follow that call — go berry picking, swim in cold water, wear the sundress, stay up talking under the stars. Live with the season, not around it.
Eat a popsicle barefoot on the porch
Dance to your favorite song while making dinner
Watch the sunset without your phone
Host an impromptu picnic, even if it’s just for you
Make a mocktail with herbs and citrus
Listen to music that makes you feel alive
Take a nap with the windows open
Send a voice note to someone you love
Pick wildflowers and put them in a jar
Read outside in the sun with something cold to sip

Garden Feature:
Deadhead your flowers this week. It keeps the blooms coming and gives you a moment to slow down and connect. Bonus: gather some petals for a summer simmer pot or to press into your journal.
Home Feature:
Rearrange one little corner of your home to feel like summer. Add a bowl of lemons, a linen cloth, or a vase of wildflowers. Lightness can come from the smallest shift.

What joy are you putting off for "someday"?

Where we let slowness stretch out across the page.
This whole letter feels like a deep breath. I’ve been catching myself waiting for the “perfect moment” way too often lately, and this is the reminder I needed to start living with the season instead of around it. Rearranging a corner of my home and eating a popsicle barefoot on the porch are officially on my list this week :)
